PLEDGE OF INCLUSION
We need everyone’s help; we help everyone.
Our volunteers, and the employees, volunteers, and clients at our partner agencies, are honored, valued, and respected by the STEM Gift Drive team for who they are and can express their full, authentic selves openly with us. Our volunteers and partners pledge to build an inclusive culture and to intentionally uplift and give voice to identities, protected and unprotected by law, that face challenges in our society.
We promote and expect respect for gender identity or expression; sexual orientation; religious, secular, or spiritual identity; ethnicity; age; neurodiversity; physical and mental abilities; military or police service; size or body type; citizenship; national origin; economic status; or any other aspect, visible or invisible, which makes an individual unique.
The STEM Gift Drive team seeks and welcomes partnerships with diverse communities, businesses, and organizations including
- BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color)
- LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual and other gender and sexual identities)
- RSSI – all Religious, Secular, and Spiritual Identities including AHoSI – Atheist, Humanist, and other Secular Identities,
Recipient charities agree that: Everyone’s religious, secular, or spiritual identity is uniquely theirs; no prayer, proselytization, or faith expectation will be experienced by STEM Gift Drive donors or recipients, and that LGBTQIA+ youth, families, or individuals will experience this gift drive the same as anyone else.
Our partner charities, businesses, and organizations agree with the above and pledge that they will strive to achieve the highest level of inclusion.
