About the STEM Gift Drive

The STEM Gift Drive is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators. Every year, our Board of Directors leads the initiative to collect STEM toys, games, and books for at-risk youth in our community, fostering excitement for STEM in young minds.

Responsibilities

This is a working board position. Board members are expected to:

Attend monthly board meetings and maintain regular communication with the CEO and other board members.
Actively participate in the strategic planning, marketing, and execution of the annual gift drive.
Support fundraising and outreach efforts to expand the reach and impact of the STEM Gift Drive.
Assist in organizing and attending gift collection and distribution events whenever possible.
Represent the STEM Gift Drive at community events and advocate for our mission to bring STEM learning to at-risk youth.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will bring the following:

Experience serving on a Board of Directors for a non-profit organization.
Proven background in non-profit work, particularly in event planning, fundraising, or community outreach.
Passion for STEM education and dedication to youth empowerment.
Strong collaborative and communication skills, with a commitment to advancing the STEM Gift Drive’s mission.
Fundraising and/or marketing experience is highly desirable.
